Mike Mignola's Hellboy
Hellboy is such a fun character. Mike Mignola created a gem with this guy, so many fun stories to read. The Hellboy movies were great, but the comics are so much more. As are the novels. I've drawn lots of Hellboy pictures over the years, this particular one is the raw inks to a quick skecth I did a few months ago.

I created this as a present for my friend (at the time) Therese (now my wife). We are both fascinated by filmmaker and writer Kevin Smith, his movies, books and comics and we love the characters of Jay and Silent Bob.

I created this for an online art contest. Frank Cho, creator of Liberty Meadows, used to have a weekly comic strip drawing contest. Each week the lucky winner would receive an original Liberty Meadows preliminary sketch signed by Frank. I just happened to be one of the lucky winners!

I really enjoyed the old Savage Sword of Conan comic magazines that Marvel Comics used to publish. I loved the black and white artwork on the inside particularly that of John Buscema. Boris Vallejo created some of the best Conan artwork around as covers for this magazine. I was bored one day and decided to sketch one of the covers. The original cover can be seen below as the second image.

Greg Capullo's “The Creech”. I loved this comic series, it'd be great to see him pick it up again someday.
